Great shots, Jeff! And thanks for the tip on the bike routes. As you await your rain delay. . .Old joke: Big line of sinners marching into hell. Devil stops each one at the entrance, checking them over. Every so often he pulls one aside in a little group and tells them to wait. Finally one of the sinners asks him, "Why are those people waiting?" Devil says, "They're from the Pacific Northwest and need to dry out a little."

Eric, I'll be quick to say how beautiful the weather has been these past few days in Oregon. We had a great day with Liz and Dunc (the Oregonians in the family) at Cannon Beach. Having said that, it is supposed to rain for the next five or six days straight. We're using that as an excuse to spend one more day enjoying Cannon Beach. Then we'll head back out on the road tomorrow -- in the rain -- and hope the trucks are kind to us.

Thanks, Nora. Love the encouragement. Unfortunately it's all from the iPhone now and I haven't figured out how to do those snazzy little slideshows within the blog like I did from Japan when I had a laptop. Will work on that.

Hi Jeff,
We have been away, so I am just now catching up with you, as best one can in through a blog. Your pictures are wonderful and I can only imagine the pain of your first few days on the road with George. I hope your trip is wonderful, I am so glad to know the two of you are together.
bye for now,
Louise
